LACE BRA PROJECT
(as in Craftwise Issue 46 [2005])

HAVE FUN, BY MAKING YOUR OWN EASY LACE BRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU NEED
- Graphic paper, to create your pattern.
- 15cm. wide stretch lace. 1.50 – 2.00 meters. (Depending on your bra size.) Matching thread, a pair of scissors, pins, a material marking pen.
- 1 Metre bra strap, 2 rings, 2 slides, and a bow for decoration.
- Optional: Cutting mat/board, and rotary cutter.

- By using, Easy trace, create your pattern, cut it out.
- Do your pattern layout on the lace and cut out your Easy Lace bra..
- Pack your pattern pieces, this will simplify the next few steps.

|
- Pin middle front and side cups right sides together.
|
 |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Use a 6mm seam allowance and stitch together.
|
 |
|
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Fold seams towards side cups, stitch flat.
- Mark middle of each cup opening and pin cups right sides together into the front panel .

 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Use a 6mm seam allowance, stitch cups into the front panel.
|
 |
|
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Fold the seams into the cups and stitch flat.
- Pin and stitch Back- and Front panel right sides together .
|
 |
|
 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Stitch the sides seams flat to the back.
- Cut two 4cm pieces from the 1m bra strap.
- Divide the rest of the bra strap in two equal pieces.
- Put the 4cm pieces through the rings.
- Fold double.

- Stitch to the top of the cups. It is recommended to use your zipper foot to prevent needle breakages

|
- o Take the slide, push bra strap through the middle stem of the slide & stitch together. Use the zipper foot.
|
 |
|
|
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Use the longer pieces, push the bra strap right side up through the top of the slide, then push it through the bottom slit.
|

 |
|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Fold the short piece of bra strap over and join onto the rest of the bra strap.
|
 |

|
| |
|
|
|
|
- Take the bra strap with slide in one hand, push the bra strap, wrong side facing up, through the back of the ring. Then push the bra strap back through the slide.

|
| |
|
|
|
|
- o Divide the back panel in quarters.
- Stitch the bra strap to the back of the bra,
¼ from the side seam.
|
 |
|
|
|
|
- o Your finished lace bra !!
|
